Calls

We invite the deep-sea biology community to submit proposals for thematic sessions to the 18th Deep-Sea Biology Symposium 2028 dedicated to advancing research and understanding of the world’s deep-sea ecosystems and processes. Please fill out the form linked below. Please suggest two people who will be available to chair the session in the proposal. We also expect that if your session gets accepted you can contribute to reviewing the submitted abstracts for that session.

Proposals will be reviewed by our scientific advisory board regarding scientific relevance, innovation, clarity, and attendance potential. We encourage submissions from diverse candidates and perspectives, early-career involvement, and global participation.

We reserve the right to request that suggested sessions can be joined or adapted to promote a program that is diverse and inclusive of the whole deep sea community.

We are looking forward to your session proposals,

The organizing committee
